I've started a new GPL project to help people learning languages. Lex is a tool that allows desktop linux users to translate words in applications, firefox, evolution, pidgin... etc. just by highlighting them. At the moment it works best when translating German into English, but it should soon(ish) support any combination of German, English, French or Spanish. After that, I aim to support as many languages as possible. I'll be launching a new dedicated site before too long to aid with the development of this.
